"Kamini, jaldi karo! Wo log kabhi bhi aane waale hain," Yuvantika said while arranging the items for the pooja.

"Ji, Didi," Kamini replied quickly.

"Aayansh, apni Didi se pucho aur kitni der mein aayegi wo," Yuvantika ordered.

"Ji, Badi Maa," Aayansh responded. But before he could ask, Shivnya stormed in and shouted, "Mene saaf saaf kaha tha ki ye meri shaadi mein nahi rehne waali hai, fir ye kyu aayi hai?"

"Beta..." Kamini tried to explain, but it was of no use.

"Inse bol dijiye ki yahan se nikal jaaye. Humein inki shakal bhi nahi dekhni hai. Humein nafrat hai inse," Shivnya roared. Her mother left, tears in her eyes, because every time she saw her mother , she remembered how she abandoned her due to her mother-in-law's provocations after the death of her other child.

"Ajay," Viren's voice boomed, causing everyone to fall silent. However, Shivnya didn't turn back; instead, she went to the backyard.

~~~
Upon our arrival at Rajvanshi Mansion, we were greeted by the sight of everyone gathered and engaged in conversation. However, when Shivnya's grandfather beckoned us over, they fell silent. Without offering greetings, Shivnya promptly made her way to the backyard.
Ten minutes later, she returned, stunning in her first-ever saree. Her beauty was captivating, from her divine smile to the wisp of loose locks that framed her face. A pang of jealousy struck me, knowing those strands could touch her, a privilege I wished for. I wanted to touch her, kiss her, and explore every corner of her body.
As my impure thoughts dissipated, my mother suggested we take our seats for the ritual. Shivnya draped her head with the saree, and panditji commenced the chanting of mantras. Eventually, he invited us to extend our hands to have a kala dhaga tied around our wrists. I presented my hand, and panditji secured the dhaga. He placed another kala dhaga in my palm.
I asked, "What should I do with this dhaga?"
"Beta, aap rajgharaane se hain aur aap RANA SA hain. Hum hone wali rani ko dhaga nahi pehna sakte," he explained. I nodded and took Shivnya's hand, tying the dhaga on her wrist as we continued the pooja.
After the pooja, I stood up and noticed Shivnya struggling with her saree. I offered my hand, and she took it for support. We stood up together and took blessings from everyone.
Abhimanyu approached Shivnya and said, "Ms. Rajvanshi."
"Ji, boliye," she replied.
"Aapne breakfast kiya?" he asked.
"Shayad aap bhool gaye, hum pooja se pehle kuch nahi khate," she responded.
He smiled and said, "Haan, par ab pooja ho gayi hai. Ab kha lijiye."
"Shivnya, Abhimanyu, breakfast ke liye aa jao," Ridhimaa called. They both went to the dinner table and sat together as the servants served the food. Everyone started eating.
"We've decided that until the wedding, Shivnya, you'll stay here with us," Viren announced, and the room fell silent.
"Shivnya," he called.
"Okay," Shivnya replied quietly.
Divit teased, "Didi, are you having a fever?"
"Shut up, Divit, and eat your food," she retorted. Everyone continued eating, but Shivnya was just playing with her food. Abhimanyu noticed and said, "Ms. Rajvanshi, eat something."
"Maan nahi hai," she replied.
"Do you want something else?" he asked, but she shook her head.
"Thoda to kha lijiye," he urged, and she took a bite.
"Guys, ye shaadi kitni boring hai," Divit remarked.
"Haan, Di , Bhai ki shaadi dekhi thi, kitna maza aaya tha," Sanj added.
"I have an idea jisse hum full maza kar sakte hain," Tanmay said, and everyone eagerly asked what it was.
"Why don't we all stay here? We aren't having the wedding elsewhere, and if we keep getting ready and coming back, everyone will find out," he explained excitedly.
"What a fabulous idea," Yuvraj said sarcastically.
"But ladka ladki ke saath ek hi ghar mein..." Nandini began, but Amrita interrupted, "But it's a good idea."
"So, what do you say? Are we staying?" Tanmay asked.
"Dadi se pucho, wo allow karengi tabhi hoga," Ridhimaa said.
"Dadi," Tanmay approached her.
"Beta, ladka aur ladki shaadi se pehle nahi mil sakte," Asha said.
"Uske liye hum hain. Aap bas haan kar dijiye," Tanmay pleaded, with Sanj and Divit joining in.
"Thik hai, but iska dhyaan tum logon ko rakhna hoga," Asha conceded.
"Yippee! We are going to stay in one house!"
Everyone was thrilled. After lunch, they were shown their rooms, and later, they went about their respective tasks.
It was 11 PM, and everyone had left. Shivnya sent Aayansh home as well. She was alone in her office, working on a project. After completing her work, she drove to Rajvanshi Mansion.
Shivnya was quietly going towards her room without making any noise but stopped when someone said, "Ms. Rajvanshi."
"You should come home on time," Abhimanyu said with crossed arms.
"Yeah, I know. It was just some work in the office," she replied, and Abhimanyu came near her, saying,
"Okay, have you had your dinner?"
"Yes," she replied proudly with a smile. Abhimanyu was also happy to see her like that. She was going to say something, but before she could, someone else spoke.
"What did you have, di?" Aayu asked, and one by one, everyone started to come out.
"Aayu?"
"Divi?"
"Sanj, Tanmay, Yuvraj?"
"What are all of you doing up this late?" she asked, standing in front of Abhimanyu.
"Diii, it's only 12 ," Divit said.
"First tell us what you ate," Aayu insisted.
"I ate a salad and had a black coffee," Shivnya replied, looking into Abhimanyu's eyes.
"You know, di, if we check your blood, weโ€™ll probably find black coffee in it," Sanj jokes, laughing.
"Haha, very funny. Go to your rooms and sleep. Tomorrow is the engagement," she said with a straight face.
"Yes, di, we remember. You donโ€™t have to remind us. And anyway, we're watching a horror movie. Do you want to watch it?" Divit asked.
"No, I have work and I need to sleep," she replied.
"Diii, it's your wedding," Sanj said to cheer her up.
"I know. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m completing my work now so that there won't be any problems afterward. It's only until launch, after that, I can relax," she explained.
"Diii, please come and watch some movie with us, na, please," Divit pleaded, but suddenly, Barley came.
"Barley?" Shivnya noticed her, and Barley gestured something to her.
"Yes, yes, Iโ€™m coming. Guys, I couldn't make it this time," she said, giving a nod to Abhimanyu before going to her room.
"Bhai, dii turned down Sanjโ€™s invitation just because of Barley. Thereโ€™s definitely something up with her," Divit said, and Aayu replied,
"Just shut up and focus on your movie.
"Bhai, will you also watch the movie?" Tanmay asked, and Abhimanyu replied,
" No, guys. You watch. Iโ€™ll take some rest."
~~~

It was the day of the engagement, and everyone was getting ready for the function. Abhimanyu and the other men were ready. He was sitting on the sofa, waiting for Shivnya. Only Barley was helping her get ready, which might have been why it was taking so long.

She finally appeared in a floral print lehenga with a loose bun and minimal jewelry. She sat next to Abhimanyu and saw him wearing a white sherwani, his regal black watch, and his trimmed beard and mustache.

Both stood up from their places, took the rings, and slid them onto each otherโ€™s fingers with soft smiles on their faces. Shivnya was experiencing mixed emotions about her wedding. Everyone clapped and gave them their blessings.

๐“๐ˆ๐Œ๐„ ๐’๐Š๐ˆ๐

It was the mehndi ceremony, and Shivnya was having mehndi applied to her hands and feet. Her free hair locks were swinging onto her face, irritating her. She thought of calling Barley but realized she wasnโ€™t there, and Sanj was busy applying mehndi.

Abhimanyu noticed her irritation and approached her, saying,

"Should I?"

"Are you sure?" she asked, and Abhimanyu nodded, gently taking her hair and making a loose ponytail.

"Is it fine?" he asked, and she nodded.

"If you need anything, just tell me. Iโ€™m here," she nodded again, and he stood up to leave but stopped when he heard Shivnyaโ€™s voice.

"Mr. Rathore," she was going to speak in a low voice but ended up shouting, catching everyone's attention. Abhimanyu gestured to them that she was calling him. He approached her, sat down, and asked,

"What happened?" Tanmay came near them and mischievously said,

"Bhabhi, at least now, you should call bhai by his name. Youโ€™re getting married soon."

โ€œ Tu jaayega yaha se," Abhimanyu said in anger

"Sorry, I didn't mean to... it just came out," she started but was cut off by Abhimanyu.

"Shhh... Iโ€™m not asking that. Iโ€™ve already told you, you have all the rights on me. So, tell me, why were you calling me?"

"Actually, Iโ€™m tired of applying this mehndi," she said.

"So, should I..."

"No, no. Just get me some pillows. I would have asked Barley, but I donโ€™t know where she is," she said in a low tone, her back aching. Abhimanyu smiled and said,

"Shivnya, Iโ€™m your husband now. You can ask me for anything, anytime, anywhere. Understood?" He arranged some pillows so she could be comfortable and then left.

Finally, the artist asked, "Ma'am, what name should I write?"

"Abhimanyu," she said meekly, and the artist wrote it before leaving. She saw Aarav feeding Avni, and other men were also helping their wives. Seeing this, she felt thirsty. Suddenly, a glass of water appeared in front of her.

"Aapko kaise pata hume pyaas lagi h?" she asked as Abhimanyu helped her drink. She gulped down the entire glass and remembered how he had helped her drink water before. He replied,

"Hum aapke pati h, hume sab pata h," he placed the food in front of her, fed her some, and sat near her. She saw her name on his hand, recalling how he had refused to apply mehndi but had written her name instead. She blushed.

"Attention, attention, attention," Tanmay shouted.

"Kya hua, Tanmay?" Sanj asked.

"We men are going for a bachelor's party," he announced, and Ridhimaa asked,

"Or tumhe kisne permission di?"

"Aree maa, bhaiya ki azadi kal khatm hone waali h. Toh party toh honi chaiye," he said, looking at Abhimanyu, who saw Shivnya raising a brow.

"Bataun tujhe?" Abhimanyu said.

"Ridhimaaa, sab jaa rahe hai. Aur hum bhi h. Tension mat lijiye," Ranveer said.

"But..."

"Aree humare bete ki kal shadi hone wali. Please jaane dijiye," he said sweetly to Ridhimaa, and she replied,

"Aap maane wale h nahi. Jaiye par time se ghar aa jana. Kal subah haldi bhi h."

Abhimanyu stood up, gave a nod to Shivnya as if speaking some words to her. All the men of Rathore and Rajvanshi went for their bachelor's party except Ajay and Viren. Raghuveer was out of town due to an emergency. They were at the house, while the others were having fun at the club, celebrating the MOST AWAITED BACHELOR OF INDIA getting married.

They returned to Rajvanshi mansion at 1 o'clock. The drivers carried them to the hall, and all the women gathered there.

Sanj, Avni bhabhi, and I were on the terrace. They wanted to have a small bachelorette party for me since we weren't going out. We were watching a movie, chilling, and having some wine. Suddenly, we heard cars stopping and came downstairs.

Abhimanyu's father and my father were fully drunk and unconscious, while my uncles and his uncles were drunk but somewhat conscious. Divit and Tanmay were asleep, with Aayansh and Yuvraj carrying them.

We approached them, and my dad went straight to my mom, slurring, "Yuvii... I... love... you... See, our daughter is getting married."

I shouted to my mom, "Take him inside." She helped him, but something was off. Abhimanyu and Aarav bhai weren't there.

"Yuviii, where are your jiju and bhai?" Avni asked.

"They haven't come yet," Yuvi said, looking around. "They were in another car; we thought they were coming with us."

"Yuvi, you should have kept an eye on them," Avni shouted.

"Diii, but..." Yuvi started to say something but was cut off by me.

"Leave it, Yuvraj. They're grown-ups; they should have taken care of themselves."

"Avni, we should go look for them," I said and headed towards the parking lot.

The ladies took their husbands to their rooms, and we informed Abhimanyu's mother to call us if they returned. I drove the car and ordered, "Avni, call the driver."

Avni quickly called the driver and put the phone on speaker.

"Mukesh, where is Bhai and Abhimanyu?" I asked.

"Mam, they're in front of the beach. They aren't listening to us and not coming to the car," he replied.

"Okay, stay there. We're coming," I said, disconnecting the phone and driving towards the beach. We got out of the car and saw Mukesh, who gestured towards the sea.

"Aarav," Avni shouted, running towards him while I went to Abhimanyu.

"Abhimanyu!"

"Oye, look, your sister came to get me. See how much she loves me," Aarav said proudly. Both were sitting near the sea, drinking. Seeing Aarav like that, Abhimanyu pulled me towards him and said proudly,

"My wife also came to get me. She loves me too."

Bhai stood up with Avni's help and said, "She's my sister."

"She's my wife," Abhimanyu shouted.

"Shut up, both of you," I shouted, and they fell silent.

"Keep your finger on your mouth," I said. Abhimanyu obediently put his finger on his lips, and after a moment, Bhai did too. I held Abhimanyu's wrist and tried to move him, but he said, "Biwi." I was shocked by his words my cheeks flushed but I controlled my emotion

"Abhimanyu, let's go home," I said, trying to pull him, but he didn't budge.

"Yeah, Aarav, let's go home."

"No, first kiss," Bhai said with a grin to Avni. She blushed and said, "Aarav, let's go home."

"No, kiss first or..." Bhai said, and Abhimanyu clung to me hugging me from back and keeping his face on my shoulder

"Okay, fine," Avni said, giving him a kiss on the cheek and guiding him to the car

" Jaan, I want a kiss too," Abhimanyu said, and Avni looked shocked

"Let's go home," I said, trying to move him, but he started shouting like a baby

"Kiss."

"Kiss."

"Kiss."

The drivers looked away, embarrassed. Avni left, and I said, "Fine."

I turned and placed my hands on his cheeks and pulled him towards me. He held my waist tightly as we gazed into each other's eyes. I hesitated, but he drew closer. Our eyes lockedโ€”his dark black orbs meeting my hazel brown ones, illuminated by the moonlight and cool breeze, creating a romantic atmosphere.

Suddenly, his gaze shifted, and he toppled onto me, accidentally kissing my lower lip and sucking it a bit. I tried to rouse him, only to discover he had fallen asleep. Carefully, I lifted his hand from my arm and guided him to the car. Despite his grip on my arm, I managed to seat him and sat beside him. Instructing the driver to proceed, he rested his head on my shoulder and wrapped his hands around mine, drifting off to sleep.

As I pondered the feel of his lips on mine, my hand unconsciously traced the sensation on my bottom lip, lost in an unfinished moment. Upon reaching home, I helped the driver carry Abhimanyu to his room, then instructed the driver to leave before closing the door.

"Shivnya... My Shivi," he murmured continuously, and I smiled.

I tried to remove my arm from his hand, but his grip was tight. He murmured, "Shivii, I am your husband," and I replied, "Yes, you are my only husband. Now sleep."

I removed his shoes, covered him with the blanket, and sat near him, waiting for him to fall into a deep slumber so I could free my arm.

"Shivnya... Biwiii..."

I placed my hand on his forehead and patted it to help him sleep. Hearing my name from his mouth felt beautiful. I never felt like this when someone said my name. From his mouth, it felt like the most beautiful name in the world, especially in his baby voice. I smiled, watching him, and didn't realize when I fell asleep sitting next to him.
