AUTHOR'S POV
As everyone gathered in the hall, Abhimanyu's authoritative voice commanded attention. "We're all going out, but we'll have four cars for security. Each couple will ride separately, and one car will be for the bachelors. First, we'll visit the fort, then head to the market. Everyone stays together," he instructed, leaving no room for debate.
"Aye aye, sir!" Tanmay and Divit replied with playful grins, the excitement palpable as they moved to their cars.
Shivnya, captivated by the city lights, couldn't contain her awe. "Wow, Jaipur looks so beautiful at night!"
Abhimanyu, watching her with a fond smile, hummed in agreement. "You remember our conditions, right?" he teased, his voice both gentle and firm.
"Abhi, don't be a spoilsport. Let me enjoy the view," Shivnya replied, a touch of irritation in her voice.
Abhimanyu's smile deepened as he moved closer, wrapping his arms around her from behind. "Then let me enjoy my view," he whispered in her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
With a privacy wall between them and the driver, they shared this intimate moment undisturbed. Upon arriving at their destination, Abhimanyu asked, "Shall we?"
Shivnya's eyes sparkled with excitement. After covering her face with a scarf, they stepped out of the car.
"This is Nahargarh Fort. It was built by my late grandfather. Initially, it was for the state's protection, but later, it became a residence for the kings and queens," Abhimanyu explained proudly.
"Ohhh," Shivnya exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder as they walked into the fort. The others were ahead, but Tanmay glanced back and saw Shivnya and Abhimanyu lagging.
"Bhabhi, come here!" Tanmay called out, but Abhimanyu's sharp glare silenced him. Avni seized the chance to tease her brother. "Yes, Shivnya, come on!"
Wanting to stay close to Abhimanyu, shivnya tried to make an excuse. " Prrrr..."
Divit grabbed her wrist, pulling her toward the group. Shivnya looked back at Abhimanyu, her eyes pleading. She wanted to spend time alone with him but also explore with the family. Abhimanyu's anger began to simmer. He had explicitly instructed her to stay by his side.
With a determined stride, he marched over, grabbed her arm slowly , and pulled her away. His grip softened as he intertwined his fingers with hers; her cold hands met his warm hands , leading her to the terrace where the whole of Jaipur could be seen.
As they climbed the narrow stairs, Abhimanyu let shivnya ascend first, following closely behind. Once on the terrace, he held her hands a smile crept on shivnya 's face seeing the continuous lovable action of her husband and suddenly he spoke softly , "Jaan, see..."
shivnya interrupted, placing a finger on his lips. "Shhh, you are the Rana of Jaipur. If anyone hears you calling me 'Jaan,' they'll be shocked."
Abhimanyu chuckled, his laughter resonating through the night air. "So what? You're my wife. You told me you don't care if everyone knows we're married."
"Yes, but... then why did you ask me to cover my face with a scarf?" shivnya asked, puzzled.
Abhimanyu pointed toward the city, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Look at how beautiful our city is."
" Par humne jo.. " Shivnya tried to ask but abhimanyu inturpruted her in between
" Jaan ye nazara dekhiye kitna sundar hai You know When I was a child, Dada Sa often brought me here. Every time I saw the city, I felt proud but also responsible for its people — "
As he shared his feelings, he turned to find shivnya gone. Panic surged through him. "Jaan!" he called out, his voice tinged with fear. Frantically, he looked around the terrace, his heart racing. He quickly reminded himself that the area was secure. He knew he already make sure that at night no one would here only some people which were here was there bodyguard which were in informal so where does shivnya went he quickly alerted everyone to look for her and in a second.
A bodyguard informed him that Shivnya was running behind a child in the main hall. Abhimanyu rushed there, finding his wife chasing the little troublemaker of their house, Anirudh. As Anirudh was about to slip, shivnya ran to save him, and Abhimanyu sprinted to save her.
He scooped them both up just in time. Shivnya, realizing she hadn't hit the floor, opened her eyes narrowly to find herself in Abhimanyu's strong arms. Anirudh was safe in her embrace. She sighed in relief. "Thanks, Mahadev," she murmured.
Abhimanyu's eyes were stern as he asked, "What were you doing here? When did you leave? And why didn't you tell me? I instructed you clearly... Jaan, all of this is for your safety."
Shivnya placed a finger on his lips, silencing him. " Shhh.... Shant ho jaiye , Bhabhi came to me when you were explaining about the city. She asked me to watch this little naughty champ for five minutes, but he hasn't stopped running since. He's exhausted his princess."
Listening, Abhimanyu's anger flared again. "You should have told me. And where are those who left him with you? You need to take care of yourself. What if you had fallen and gotten hurt?"
Shivnya pouted, her eyes becoming moist . "But I didn't fall."
"Because I was there," Abhimanyu retorted, his voice softening.
Shivnya, annoyed, replied, " Aree bass bhi kijiye , who scolds their wife like this? I'm not your daughter; stop acting like a daddy."
Abhimanyu was taken aback, smirking internally at her unintended use of "daddy." "Daddy?" he asked with raised brows.
Before the conversation could continue, Ansh and Radhika arrived. "Bhabhi!" Radhika exclaimed, taking Anirudh from Shivnya's arms.
Abhimanyu turned to Ansh, his tone strict. "Where were you?"
Ansh, confused, asked, "Why, Bhai Sa, what happened?" Shivnya was feeling shy and she murmured said
" Hume neeche utariye " Abhimanyu looked at her strictly and said
( put me down )
" Kahi nahi jaa rahi hai aap " Ansh was confused for what abhimanyu was so angry and again asked
( you are not going anywhere )
" Bhaisa hua kya hai?? " Abhimanyu said angrily
( what happened brother )
Abhimanyu explained angrily, "These two were chasing each other and almost fell."
Radhika scolded Anirudh, "Anirudh, you've become very naughty. You shouldn't trouble your Badi Maa like this."
Anirudh, looking guilty, apologized, "Sorry, Princess."
As they walked away, Shivnya, feeling shy, murmured, "Now please put me down. Someone might see us ."
Abhimanyu began walking out of the place, declaring, "No one will see. We're going straight home, and that's final."
Shivnya looked at him with wide eyes, pleading, "No, please don't do that. I'm sorry. I won't leave your side again even for a second. But please, let's continue exploring."
Abhimanyu sighed, "Jaan, your puppy face can make me do anything." Shivnya grinned, feeling victorious.
"Now, put me down," she ordered playfully.
Abhimanyu, amused, asked, "Is that an order or a request?"
With a suppressed laugh, Shivnya replied, "It's an order, Rana Sa."
Abhimanyu looked at her with love-filled eyes, though a hint of fear lingered. "Your wish is my command, Rani Sa. But promise you won't leave me again."
Shivnya smiled brightly. "Pakka promise."
Abhimanyu gently set her down, and they continued exploring the fort together, hand in hand.
Afterward, everyone explored the fort, taking several pictures. Abhimanyu and Shivnya captured some cute moments, and then they moved on to explore Hawa Mahal. While everyone enjoyed the sights, Abhimanyu's heart swelled seeing his wife's mesmerized expressions. He never let go of her hand for a second, despite the playful teasing from the others about their unwavering love.
As twilight painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, the group slowly made their way back to the haveli. The air was cool and fragrant, filled with the distant hum of the city's life. As they exited Hawa Mahal, Radhika's eyes sparkled with delight as she spotted a panipuri stall. Her excitement was palpable. "Ansh, panipuri!" she exclaimed, her voice full of anticipation.
Avni, catching sight of the stall, couldn't resist and clung to Aarav, her eyes twinkling with desire. "Aarav, I want some too," she said with a playful pout.
"No, no, let's go home. Bhaisa will be angry," Ansh said firmly, knowing Abhimanyu's strict stance on street food.
"Yes, Avni, it's already late. We can have some made at home," Aarav added gently, trying to placate her.
But Avni was insistent. "I want street-style panipuri," she said, determination shining in her eyes.
"Bhabhi, we want to eat it too," Tanmay chimed in, looking at shivnya with hopeful eyes. shivnya was puzzled by their collective fear.
"Diii," Sanj and Divi added, their voices echoing the same desire.
Shivnya glanced at her husband, shrugged, and declared with a mischievous smile, "What's there to ask your brother about? Let's eat!" She led the way to the stall, and everyone followed eagerly. Aarav, however, approached Abhimanyu with a smirk, while Ansh chuckled. Abhimanyu's stern look silenced them both.
"Bhai, my sister has overruled you. Your opinion doesn't matter," Aarav teased playfully.
"Watch it; my sister is your wife also " Abhimanyu retorted, maintaining his stoic expression.
Nearby, Avni called out, "Bhaiya, make it extra spicy!" Abhimanyu approached Shivnya and whispered softly, "Jaan, we shouldn't eat this."
Shivnya looked at him for a moment, her eyes a mix of defiance and affection. She then announced, "Bhaiya, don't give any to him, but serve the rest of us." Ansh and Aarav laughed, while yuvii grinned seeing abhimanyu like that .
"Jaan, it's unhygienic. Let's go home, and I'll make it for you," Abhimanyu tried to reason, his voice gentle. But Shivnya's playful glare sent him back to the boys, sulking, as she continued enjoying her panipuri.
"We know what we're talking about. There's no point in arguing. Just stand here and watch them eat," Aarav laughed, while Abhimanyu kept his stoic expression. The group savored their panipuri, laughter and chatter filling the air, until Shivnya suddenly turned to Abhimanyu with a mischievous smile.
"Abhi," she called softly.
He raised his brows in question, his curiosity piqued.
" Aa kijiye ," Shivnya urged, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
( open your mouth )
"But—" Abhimanyu began, but Shivnya quickly popped a panipuri into his mouth, her laughter infectious. The others watched, barely suppressing their amusement. Shivnya gazed at him with tender eyes and asked, "How is it?"
Abhimanyu chewed thoughtfully before replying, "Spicy." His stoic mask cracked into a reluctant smile.
Shivnya smirked triumphantly and continued eating. After a few more panipuris, she suddenly whined, "Aaaah, it's so spicy!" Her eyes filled with tears, and her nose reddened. Abhimanyu rushed to her, his concern evident as he gently rubbed her scalp. "Jaan, that's why I said no." He wiped her nose and tears with his handkerchief and handed her a bottle of water. "Here, drink this."
But the spice lingered, so he ordered the bodyguards, "Go get something sweet." Before they returned, Shivnya looked at him with her teary, yet twinkling eyes, and said in a baby voice, "But it was yummy."
Abhimanyu sighed, his heart melting looking at his cute little baby wifey. He took the sweets from the bodyguard and fed them to her with a tender smile. As they headed back to their cars, Avni spotted another shop and shouted, "Yuvii, remember that shop? Kachori!"
Tanmay joined in excitedly, "Pyaaz kachori!"
Avni, her eyes alight with determination, insisted, "Aarav, let's go get some."
Aarav, knowing Abhimanyu's dislike for street food and how he had already relented with the panipuri, said nervously, "Avni, let's go home or else Your brother will serve me either those kachori's to you ."
Avni sighed, recognizing the need for a different approach. She turned to Shivnya, her voice sweet and persuasive. "Shivnya, you have to try this. It's super tasty. If you come to Jaipur and don't try it, you haven't really experienced the city."
Shivnya looked at Avni first, then at her husband with a pout. Abhimanyu, feeling utterly defeated by the combined charm of his sister and wife, asked, "Do you want to eat it?"
Shivnya grinned, her face lighting up with joy. Abhimanyu sighed deeply, "Fine." He instructed the bodyguards to bring the kachoris, clearly stating that they would eat them in the cars only.
Shivnya savored the pyaaz kachori, her happiness evident, and even coaxed Abhimanyu into trying it. The others returned to the haveli, but Abhimanyu had a different plan. He took Shivnya to a secluded, beautiful spot overlooking the entire city of Jaipur. The view was breathtaking, with the city lights shimmering like a sea of stars.
They stood in silence, the night wrapping around them like a comforting blanket. Abhimanyu held Shivnya close, his heart full. "Jaan, sometimes it's good to break the rules," he whispered, his voice filled with love.
shivnya looked up at him, her eyes shining with affection. "With you, anything is perfect," she replied softly, leaning into his embrace.
As they gazed out over the enchanting cityscape, the world seemed to stand still. In that serene moment, amidst the glow of the city lights, their love felt as timeless and beautiful as the night sky.
