CHAPTER 33

AUTHOR'S POV

With a confident voice, he said, "Haan, Bua ji bilkul theek keh rahi hai. Shivnya, aapko hume Rana sa hi bulana chahiye."

("Yes, Aunt is absolutely right. Shivnya, you should call me Rana sa from now on.")

The shock was palpable. From the day Shivnya entered the haveli, Abhimanyu had always stood up for her against Nalini's criticisms. This sudden shift left everyone stunned.

"Abhimanyu," Ranveer said, disbelief etched on his face.

"Dad, chill," Abhimanyu responded with a calm smile, moving closer to Shivnya. "Toh aaj se aap hume Rana sa pukarengi, toh hum bhi aapko aapke naam se thodi bulayenge. Hum aapko...uhmmm.... My Lord bulaya karenge," he declared, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

("So, from today, if you call me Rana sa, then I will also call you by your name. I'll call you... uhmmm... My Lord.")

Shivnya looked at him, her disbelief turning into a soft, affectionate smile. Nalini, however, was taken aback. "Abhimanyu, kaisi behki behki baatein karte ho, biwi hai wo tumhari."

("Abhimanyu, what nonsense are you saying, she is your wife.")

"Isliye toh hum keh rahe hai unhe My Lord," Abhimanyu replied, locking eyes with Shivnya, his voice gentle yet firm.

("That's why I am saying, I'll call her My Lord.")

Nalini, her frustration mounting, turned to Ranveer. "Bhai sa, kuch sikhaye apne bete ko. Biwi ka gulam ban gaya."

("Brother, teach your son some manners. He has become a slave to his wife.")

Ranveer chuckled, "Bilkul sahi sikh raha hai wo... ab hum bhi toh apni biwi ke hi gulam hai."

("He's learning well... even I am a slave to my wife.")

"Ranveer," Radhika murmured, blushing at her husband's playful words.

"So it's final, aaj se hum aapko My Lord bulaya karengi aur bhuliye mat, hum Rajput hai, aur ek asli Rajput apni biwi ki izzat karta hai, pyaar karta hai, na ki unko dara kar rakhta hai," Abhimanyu proclaimed.

("So it's final, from now on, I'll call you My Lord and don't forget, we are Rajputs, and a true Rajput respects and loves his wife, not intimidates her.")

The atmosphere lightened as laughter and smiles spread across the room. After breakfast, Abhimanyu retreated to his chamber to complete his work, while the others resumed their activities.

"Diii, aap kab wapas aa rahi ho?" Sanj asked, her voice tinged with anticipation.

("Dii, when are you coming back?")

"Kal tumhare saath hi flight hai," Shivnya replied.

("Tomorrow, I have a flight with you.")

Anirudh, who had been playing with his toys, heard this and toddled over, his eyes wide and innocent. "Princess, why are you leaving?" he asked, tugging at her dress.

Shivnya scooped him up, her heart melting at his pleading eyes. "Baby, I'll come back soon to meet you" she promised, kissing his forehead.

But Anirudh pouted stubbornly, "No, you'll stay here."

Shivnya, gently caressing his cheek, reassured him, "Baby, I have to go, but I promise I'll definitely come back."

Anirudh's eyes narrowed skeptically. "Promise?"

"Yes, promise," Shivnya chuckled, her love for him evident in her eyes.

Suddenly, Sanj's face lit up with an idea. " Dii, then why don't we go out somewhere today?" she suggested excitedly.

"Yes, Bhabhi, let's go." Radhika agreed, her enthusiasm matching Sanj's.

"Yes, everyone go, it will be so much fun." Avni chimed in, her excitement infectious.

" Yes, we'll go." Shivnya said, her spirits lifting at the thought of exploring the city.

" But who will talk to these men's "Radhika asked, a note of concern in her voice.

"Sab aap ne apne pati ko maante hai, aur tum un 4 ko mana lo," Avni suggested with a grin. Everyone agreed, their faces alight with anticipation as they set about making plans for the day.

( you all guys convince your husband's and you go convince these 4 men's )

"Aarav baby," Avni called out, her voice dripping with sweetness. Aarav looked up from his phone and walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Yes, darling?" he asked, his voice soft and filled with affection.

Avni smirked internally, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Baby, do you love me?" she asked, batting her eyelashes playfully.

Aarav looked a bit puzzled but quickly reassured her, "Of course, Avni. I love you more than anything."

She gazed at him with a mischievous grin and asked, "So, can we go out tonight to explore Jaipur?"

Aarav's expression shifted as he gently removed his arms from around her. "No, baby," he said curtly.

Avni's face fell, and she pouted like a child. "Aarav, you just said you love me," she complained, her voice tinged with disappointment.

"Yes, I love you," Aarav said, trying to explain, "but if we go alone, it wouldn't look nice."

Avni stepped closer, her eyes wide with excitement as she grabbed his arms. "No, no, who said we will go alone? Everyone has agreed to go. You're the only one left," she said, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.

Aarav smirked, trying to mask his reluctance. "So it's settled then. We could stay back and spend some quality time together," he suggested, his voice playful.

Avni glared at him, her eyes narrowing. "Shut up, we are going," she declared with a tone that left no room for argument.

Aarav pouted, looking like a child denied his favorite toy. "When you had already decided, why did you even ask?" he grumbled.

Avni's lips curved into a triumphant smile. "Patni dharma," she said, her eyes twinkling with victory and Aarav chuckled at her antics.

( wife's duty )

Meanwhile, Ansh and Radhika were in their room, the late afternoon sun casting a warm glow through the windows.

"Anshiii," Radhika called out, her voice laced with playful sweetness, a grin spreading across her face.

"Yes, Radha?" Ansh replied, his eyes still focused on the laptop screen, typing away.

"Love, we have decided that we're all going to explore Jaipur tonight!" Radhika announced with bubbling excitement, her eyes twinkling with anticipation. Ansh finally looked up, turning towards her with a knowing look.

"But Bhaisahab wouldn't agree," he said, his eyebrow arching in doubt.

Radhika, undeterred and with a determined glint in her eye, responded in a firm tone, "We have taken everyone's permission, and you are coming."

Ansh's lips curled into a sly smile as he gazed into her eyes. "And what's my profit in that?" he teased, his voice low and playful.

Radhika leaned closer, her face inches from his, her excitement radiating. "Tomorrow, shivnya bhabhi is leaving, so I'm thinking we'll send Anirudh to sleep with them. That way, we can have some alone time tonight," she whispered, her eyes dancing with mischief.

Ansh's smile widened, appreciating his wife's clever plan. "Last time, remember how Bhaisahab was so angry?" he said, raising his eyebrows, a hint of caution in his voice.

Radhika sighed, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "Fine, then. Don't come, and take care of Anirudh. I'll go alone and sleep alone tonight too!" she declared, her voice tinged with anger as she turned to leave the room.

But before she could take a step, Ansh reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her back into his arms. "No, no, love, I'm coming," he said, his voice softening, filled with affection and a touch of amusement.

Radhika's anger melted away as she looked into his eyes, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "Good," she whispered, a smile returning to her lips. "I knew you would."

SHIVNYA'S POV

"Aarav agreed " Avni said excitedly, her eyes sparkling with joy.

"Ansh also," Radhika chimed in, grinning widely, her enthusiasm contagious.

"These 4 also " Sanj added with a happy smile, her excitement palpable. But I didn't say anything. My heart wasn't in it.

"Bhabhi, bhaisa?" Radhika asked, frowning when she noticed my silence.

"Wo tab se apne laptop mein hi lage hue hain, sunn hi nahi rahe humari baat," I said in a sad tone, casting a forlorn glance at my husband, who was engrossed in his work.

( Since then he is busy with his laptop, he is not listening to me . )

"Dii, excuse toh koi sahi do, jiju aur aapki baat nahi sunte, impossible," Sanj said with a chuckle, disbelief clear in her voice.

( Sister, give me some reasonable excuse, brother-in-law does not listen to you, it is impossible)

"Main kyu jhoot kahungi?" I replied, feeling a sting of frustration. Radhika looked at me in surprise, her eyes narrowing as she said, "Aap humare samne bhaisa ko bulaiye."

( why would i lie )

( youΒ  call brother in law infront of us we will also see )Β

I sighed, my heart heavy with resignation. "Wo sunege hi nahi."

( he won't listen )

"Try toh kijiye," Avni urged, her optimism unwavering. I sighed again, knowing deep down he wouldn't listen, but I called out anyway, "Abhiii!"

( atleast try )

"Haan jaan, boliye," Abhi replied in his soft, soothing tone. I was shocked to hear his response, and the others looked at him in disbelief. Seeing him talk softly to someone was like seeing a blue moon for others but not for me .

( yes jaan say )

"Itni der se toh sunn nahi rahe the aur ab ek baar mein hi sunn liya," I muttered under my breath. The three of them smirked, grinning mischievously.

( He was not listening to me since and now he listened in one go)

"Boliye bhi," Abhimanyu said, his fingers still dancing over the keyboard.

( Say it )

I stood up, anger bubbling within me, and ordered, "Kamre mein aaye zara." I moved to our room in the haveli, hearing Abhimanyu's steps behind me, the laptop still clutched in his hand.

( come in the room )Β

Once we were in the room, he looked at me, and I gestured for him to sit on the sofa. "Kya hua hai, jaan? Jaldi boliye," he asked, his eyes still glued to the laptop.

( what happened jaan ?Β  say fast )

I started speaking, but he wasn't paying attention. Frustration welled up inside me, and I said, "Wo actually... Aap ye laptop rakhenge?"

( actually ... will you keep this laptop aside ? )Β

"Yes, just 2 min," he replied, his eyes squeezed in concentration. In a surge of anger, I snatched the laptop from his hands and placed it on the table. I then sat in his lap, wrapping his hand around me.

"Itna gussa kyu ho raha hai, jaan?" His soft voice and love-filled eyes bore into mine, and I felt a pang of guilt, but it was necessary.

( why so anger jaan?? )

"Ab bataiye bhi," he urged. I leaned into his chest, my ear pressed against his heart, nervously saying, "Wo na, sab logo ne decide kiya hai ki wo aaj bahar ghumne jayenge."

( now say )

( actually everyone is deciding to explore)

He looked down into my eyes, hummed while caressing my head, and pulled me closer. "Toh hum bhi jaaye please," I said hesitantly, barely a whisper.

( so can we also go ?)

He looked at me intently and then said, "Begum, if I am not wrong, aapne hi condition rakhi thi na ki humari shaadi secret rahegi?"

( wifey if I am not wrong then you only the one who kept the condition to keep our marriage secret?Β  )

"Haan, toh theek hai na. Ab humein farak nahi padta hai. Aur sach hi toh, hum dono shaadi shuda hain. Aapko koi problem hai agar logon ko pata lagega?" I sat up straight, feeling a surge of determination. He was staring into my eyes and at my neck and jawline. He leaned in, gently moving my hair to the other shoulder, and said in his husky, dark voice, "Nahi jaan."

( Yes, that's okay. It doesn't matter to me now. And the truth is, we are both married. Do you have a problem if people find out? )

( No jaan )

He slowly started to nibble on my neck and jawline. I felt as if I was melting in his embrace. I wanted to stop time and stay like this forever, but reality beckoned. Composing myself, I said stammering, "Chaliye na please. Humein aapke sath ghumna hai. Hum haveli se bahar kahin nahi gaye."

( please na lets go I want to explore with you I didn't go out anywhere beyond this mansion )

He continued giving open-mouth kisses on my neck and jawline, whispering against my skin in his dark voice, "Jaan, nahi. Aapke liye security issue hai. Aap nahi jayengi."

( No jaan, there are some security issues for you you won't go out )

"Aap ho toh sahi uske liye," I said sadly, detaching his lips from me. I looked at him intensely, and he looked back softly, his voice honeyed as he said, "Jaan, baat maniye."

( you are there for that issue)

( jaant please agree with it )

"Par sab jaa rahe hain," I said in a low tone, sadness heavy in my voice.

( but everyone is going out)

"Haan, toh hum ghar rahenge aur quality time spend karenge," he said, nuzzling into my neck. This man has some kind of obsession with my neck.

( so we will stay at home and spend quality time )

"Apne laptop ke sath kijiye," I spat angrily, standing up from his lap, jerking his hands off me.

( do with your laptop )

"Jaan, suniye toh sahi," he said, standing up from the chair, but I stormed out of the room, anger propelling me forward.

( Jaan listen to me )

"Jaan," he called after me in the corridor, but I didn't listen.

I came down, wiping my face with my pallu to remove his saliva. As I descended the stairs, Radhika was there and asked in her excited tone, "Kya kaha bhaisa ne?"

( what did brother in law said?? )

"Mana kar diya. Saaf saaf keh rahe hain security issue hai," I said with a sad face. She was about to say something, but I interrupted her with a plastered smile, "Aap log jaiye, enjoy kijiye. Humein kuch kaam hai apne kamre mein. Hum wo karke aate hain." I left and went to our chamber, feeling a deep sense of disappointment.

( He clearly said no and said there are some security issues for me)

( you all go and enjoy, I have some work I will do thatΒ  )

ABHIMANYU'S POV

"Maa, where is shivnya ?" I asked as I approached the dining table for lunch, having missed the family meal due to a meeting.

"In her room," Maa replied.

"Did she had her lunch ?" I inquired, my concern growing as I took a seat.

"No," she said, continuing with her chores.

"Why?" I asked, my tone laden with worry.

" She said she was feeling a bit low that's why she didn't had any food but then also i have send soup in your room " Maa reassured me. Determined to check on her, I headed to my chamber but was intercepted by Tanmay and Yuvraj, their eyes narrowed at me.

" Why you guys are seeing me like that ?" I questioned.

With puppy dog eyes, they pleaded, " let bhabhi also join us to go out "

"Ohh, so this is the reason" I realized what was troubling shivnya. She hadn't eaten lunch. Entering the chamber, I noticed the untouched bowl of soup. She wasn't in the room, so I headed to the closet and found her folding clothes, her back to me. I approached quietly, wrapped my arms around her from behind, and murmured, "Jaan."

She remained silent, her focus on the clothes.

"Aap humse naraz hai?" I asked softly. She shut the wardrobe with a huff, pulled away from my embrace, and retorted, "Hum kaun hote hain aapse naraz hone wale?"

( are you angry with me?? )

( who am I to get angry with you?? )

She left the closet, and I followed, pleading, "Jaan, aisa mat boliye."

( jaan please don't say such things)

Her sad expression tugged at my heart. She looked beautiful in every mood-whether sad, happy, a crybaby, annoyed, or angry.

I gently grasped her wrist, pulling her towards me as I sat on the bed's edge. I patted my lap and invited, "Baithiye." She reluctantly settled on my lap, wrapping her arms around my torso as I encircled her in a comforting embrace. The closeness was intoxicating.

( sit)

"Ab bataiye, kyu naraz hai humari jaan humse?" I asked, caressing her hair.

( now say why are you angry with meΒ  )

With a soft, babyish voice and a fake sniff, she confessed, "Hume bahar ghoomna jana hai aapke sath." She was truly my baby. I chuckled internally.

( I want to go out with you)

I tried to soothe her, "Haa, toh kabhi baad mein chalenge."

( okay so we can go some other time also)

She insisted obstinately, "Hume abhi jaana hai sab ke sath. Please, abhi chaliye na."

( I also want to go with everyone please Abhi let's go )

"Jaan, main aapki security ke sath bilkul compromise nahi kar sakta," I explained with furrowed brows, hoping she'd understand the gravity of the situation. Her eyes flashed with determination as she replied in her annoyed, baby voice,

( jaan I can't compromise with your security )

"Aap hume ghoomne nahi le kar ja saktai matlab?"

( means you won't take me out to explore jaipur ? )

Feeling defeated, I sighed, "Nahi."

( no )

She pushed my hands away, exclaiming, "Hatiye hatiye." She hopped off my lap and declared angrily, "Ab apni security ke paas hi rahiye, unse hi baat kijiye, unse hi apne kaam karwaiye. Humse nahi, aur nahi humse baat kijiyega."

( go away go)

( Now stay with your security, talk to them only, get your work done by them only not me and don't talk to me. )

I moved closer, trying to hold her, "Jaan, suniye bhi," but she brushed me off and moved to the other side of the room.

( jaan listen to me..)

"Jaiye yahan se, hume koi baat nahi karni aapse." She pouted, her face a mix of sadness and anger. Finally, conceding to her wish, I sighed, "Okay fine, baba, chalte hain."

( go from here I don't want to talk to you)

( okay fine let's go)

Her eyes sparkled with joy as she asked, "Okay?"

"Haan, jaan." She ran towards me, leaping into my arms. I twirled her around, her laughter filling the room. She hugged me tightly, saying, "Thank you so much," and kissed my cheeks. Smiling, I teased,

(Β  yes jaan )

"Itna saara pyaar ek baar mein? Iska matlab hume roz aapko kahin ghoomne le kar jana padega." She blushed, trying to wriggle out of my embrace, "Hum sab ko bata kar aate hain."

( So much love at once? That means I'll have to take you out every day." )

( I will go and tell everyone )

I tightened my hold playfully, "Aree, rukiye, humari puri baat toh suniye." She looked at me eagerly, "Haan, boliye."

( wait at least listen to ne first)

( yeah say )

"Humari conditions theek se sun lijiye," I stated firmly.

( listen to my conditions carefully)

"Conditions??" She echoed in confusion making a baby confusion face

"Aap humse ek second ke liye bhi alag nahi hone waali hain," I began.

( you won't stay away from me for a second also )

"Ohkay."

"and you will cover your face with a scarf ."

"Ohkay."

" and you...." I started, but she interrupted with a pout, "Are you not coming with us ? "

"Kisne kaha? Hum aapko akele kahin nahi bhejne waale hain," I asserted. She finally wriggled free and said with a grin, "Haan, toh bas wahi sab bata dijiyega. Abhi hum sabko bata kar aate hain," waving her hand as she exited.

( who said that i am not going to send you alone )

( yes then tell all the things there only now let me go and tell everyone that you agreed )

"Okay" I sighed, watching her leave. Her childlike stubbornness brought a smile to my face as I chuckled at the thought.
