CHAPTER 25

ABHIMANYU'S POV

I don't harbor any ill will towards that child, but it's challenging to accept when he refers to her as his princess. She's mine and mine alone , I can't bear the thought of sharing her with anyone else. It's unsettling to see him so close to her when no one else has that privilege .

But he's just a five-year-old, and I can't express my frustrations. Seeing her interact with him makes me realize she enjoys his company, which only adds to my discomfort. Because of these conflicting emotions, I find myself speaking to her with a coldness I regret. She's my everything , my love , my princees , my jaan , my angel and while I shouldn't react this way, she shouldn't have let it happen either.

This chamber was specially designated for the Rana sa and his wife, separate from the other rooms. I spent my whole day here, working on my laptop. It wasn't until I glanced at the time and realized it was already 8 pm that I decided to come out. Checking my phone, I saw ten missed calls from Yuvraj and Tanmay and some from my dad also . I felt something was wrong so I quickly went to haveli

( RATHORE HAVELI, THE PALACE WHERE THE RATHORE FAMILY HAS LIVED SINCE THE TIME OF THEIR ANCESTORS, PASSED DOWN THROUGH GENERATIONS. )

I emerged from the chamber and made my way to the haveli through a secret passage. Upon reaching the dining area, I saw everyone seated at the table, enjoying their meal. I pulled out a chair and sat down, glancing around. Not seeing Shivnya, I asked, "Maa, Shivnya kahan hai?"

( maa where is shivnya?? )

She didn't respond, so I repeated, "Maa?"

Finally, she replied without looking at me, "Woh apne kamre mein hai, usse bhook nahi thi."

( she is in her room, she isn't hungry )

"Maa, aapko pata hai na unki tabiyat abhi thik hui hai..." I was saying when Buaji interrupted.

( maa you know na she just recovered )

"Abhimanyu, woh bachi nahi hai," she said sternly. I stood up to leave, knowing I couldn't respond to her but also unwilling to stay any longer.

( abhimanyu she is not a child )

"Abhimanyu, sit and eat the food," Dad said

"I don't have an appetite," I replied and headed toward the stairs. My Dadaji called out sternly, "Come to my room in 10 min ."

I nodded and went to our room. I knocked on the door, but there was no response. Knocking again, I still received no answer. And at this moment it was confirmed something was wrong . One more time, I called out, "Shivnya, please open the door. See, I am here."

The door finally opened, revealing Shivnya. The room lights were dim, and her puffy eyes told me she'd been crying. She looked at me briefly and then turned away. I understood she was mad at me but because of what ????

I entered the room, closing the door behind me. Approaching her, I held her wrist, but she jerked her hand away furiously and said, "Leave me alone."

I moved in front of her and pleaded, "Shivnya, at least listen to what I am saying."

"I don't want to know anything," she retorted, turning away again.

"Shivnya, please, at least give me a CHANCE."

"CHANCE? On our wedding night, your promises echoed in my heart, your words a beacon of hope in the darkness. But today, as I wandered through the empty halls of this haveli, searching for you, the weight of your absence crushed me. Each room I entered echoed with memories of your vows, now shattered. Your sudden departure, without a word of explanation, left me adrift in a sea of doubt and pain. I thought your promise was my sanctuary, but now I fear it's just another illusion, fading into the night. You informed Baba that you had urgent work and left without considering telling me where you were going...... "
she shouted, and sat on the bed.

I realized what I had done. Just because of my frustration, I hurt my princess. I shouldn't have done this. With great difficulty, she had trusted me, and today, I broke that trust and my promise.

"I'm really sorry, Shivnya. I know I shouldn't have done this, but it was some urgent work," I said, sitting near her

She moved back , looked at me with disgust, and shouted, "Abhimanyu, have you no shame? You expect me not to lie, but you are lying yourself."

She had found out I was lying. Closing my eyes for a second to calm my temperament, I admitted, "Okay, fine. I was in our chamber. I was frustrated because of something I can't tell you."

She smirked and said, "Oh really? And you expect me to tell you everything?"

I was ashamed of what I did but didn't anticipate how deeply my actions would hurt her. I was about to say something when someone knocked on the door. Looking at Shivnya, I went to open it. Tanmay was standing there.

"Bhai, Dadaji is calling you."

"Coming," I replied and he left. I looked at Shivnya before going to Dadaji's room.

AUTHOR'S POV

Ajay and Ranveer were present in the room.

"Where were you?" Ajay asked.

"In my chamber," He replied.

"What were you doing there?" Ranveer asked.

"I was doing some work," He replied with a poker face.

"Oh, so you were busy," Ranveer said with a fake smile.

"Yes," He said. Ajay shouted, "Shut up, Abhimanyu. You have to understand the weight of your actions. You're not just a bachelor anymore; you're a husband now. You should have informed her where you were going. She spent the whole day searching every nook and cranny of this haveli for you, while you were holed up in your chamber with your 'IMPORTANT WORK.' She was asking everyone if they had seen you. I know we're her family, but to her, you're still more important than us. She doesn't have a supportive family background like ours. Even here, she needs time to adjust with us. You were her safe place, and you left her. Yes, it was just for a day, but if you saw how she looked for you, you'd feel like you left her for a lifetime. Only your dad could have handled that situation. She wasn't listening to any of us. Viren told me about her trust issues and insecurities. She trusted you; don't break that trust. Go and make it right."

Abhimanyu nodded before asking his father, "What did you say to her?"

"There was some issue in the village, which is why you went there. Despite my attempts to explain, she didn't listen. Even after your mom tried, she didn't believe us. However, after everyone assured her of your safety and promised you'd return by night, she finally trusted us. She secluded herself in her room for the entire day, refusing to eat despite our efforts. Have some shame, Abhimanyu. Remember, if you are my son, she is also my daughter. If I ever see you treat her like that again, you won't like the consequences," Ranveer said sternly. Abhimanyu listened and quickly went to their room.

He entered to find Shivnya missing. After checking the bathroom, he found her asleep on the couch of the balcony , wrapped in a shawl. Overcome with shame, he gently carried her to bed, covering her with a quilt.

Kissing her forehead, he murmured, "Sorry, jaan. Hume maaf kar dijiye." He lay down on his side of the bed, guilt weighing heavily on him, until sleep finally overtook him.

( sorry jaan, please forgive me )

SHIVNYA'S POV

I woke up, blinking against the room's light, and noticed Abhimanyu was missing. As I sat up, rubbing my eyes and yawning, memories of the previous day flooded my mind.

I scoured the haveli for him, thinking he had left me like others in my life. Even Yuvraj and Tanmay couldn't reach him. When I asked our parents, they claimed he had gone to the village for some errands, but their tone hinted otherwise. Despite my doubts, I trusted he would return by 9 pm. Distraught, I locked myself in my room, shedding tears all day. When he finally returned that night, I refused to speak to him. After a brief argument, he let me be. I took an excessive dose of sleeping pills and retreated to the balcony, only to wake up in bed, realizing he had moved me while I was asleep.

I entered the bathroom, letting the water's soothing touch calm my nerves. After stepping out in a bathrobe meant for men, I spotted Abhimanyu in the room. Despite my annoyance, there was still lingering affection. As I dried my hair, I turned abruptly, unintentionally hitting him. Seeing him wince, concern washed over me, softening my gaze.

"Let me see," I said, going near him and trying to open his eyes. He leaned down, and I blew some air from my mouth.

"Open your eyes," I urged.

He rested his hands on my lower waist and murmured, "I can't see."

I blew more air, and he finally opened his eyes, blinking.

"Is it fine?" I asked, concerned.( abhimanyu 's thought - i was just thinking her sweet voice looks damn sexy but when she would beg to fuck her all night then how would her voice would sound )

"Yes, biwi jaan," he replied with a grin.

I turned away to continue drying my hair. However, Abhimanyu persisted, "Shivnya, listen to me at least."

I sighed, knowing that avoiding him wouldn't solve anything, and went to the balcony to finish drying my towel.

"Shivnya," he called out, joining me on the balcony and holding out a packet. "See, this packet is given by Maa. She said you have to wear this saree today."

I took the packet from his hand, feeling a mix of irritation and curiosity. "I am going to take a bath; till then, you get ready with your makeup and in your shapewear, blouse. I will come and drape your saree," he added before heading into the bathroom.

Back in the room, I felt conflicted. On one hand, I wanted to maintain my distance from Abhimanyu after yesterday's events, but on the other, I couldn't deny his efforts to make amends. As I hurriedly finished drying my hair and applying moisturizer, his words about the saree echoed in my mind.

With swift movements, I applied a touch of kajal, a bindi, vermilion, and a red nude lipstick, finishing off with a hint of blush. Hastily slipping into my blouse and shapewear, I grabbed the white saree with heavy borders that I had admired before. Despite my efforts to mimic Abhimanyu's graceful saree draping from memory, I struggled with the pleats.

Just as frustration started to creep in, the door clicked, and Abhimanyu walked in. Seeing him, I rolled my eyes and resumed making pleats of the saree, trying to focus on the task at hand despite the distraction of his presence.

The low waist towel he was wearing only added to the temptation, the water dripping from his hairs and the chiseled abs and chest of his but I shook my head, attempting to push away my inappropriate thoughts and concentrate on my work. Finally, he disappeared into the closet to change, giving me a moment of reprieve.

When he emerged wearing a black shirt and pants, he approached me and reached for the end of the saree. I instinctively pulled it back and said, "I can do it. I don't need your help."

"Wifey, you have been trying to wear it for the last 20 minutes. Let me do my work," he said, gently taking the saree again and started making pleats.

"Leave me," I said harshly, attempting to take the saree from his hand.

He came near me with slow steps. "I am not going to leave you," he said authoritatively.

"Toh kal ye yaad nahi aaya?" I retorted in anger, recalling his absence and lies from yesterday.

( So you didn't remember this yesterday )

"Soory, biwi. I know I have made..." He tried to explain, but I didn't let him finish.

"I don't want any kind of explanation from you," I said, trying to move away from him. But before I could, he took both of my wrists in one hand and pinned me against the wardrobe.

I was in my blouse and shapewear only, and my whole saree was dragging on the floor. He leaned in close to my ear and said in a husky yet authoritative tone, "You have to, Shivanya." Because of my uneven breaths my chest was moving in and out his one leg was between my legs , his thighs was softly touching and applying the pressure on my sensitive area.

"So you are going to force me to listen?" I retorted angrily.

"No, a very big no. Okay, you don't want to listen. It's okay. At least let me help you with this saree," he offered, and I reluctantly nodded, knowing I couldn't manage the task alone.

He skillfully began making the pleats of my saree, guiding me to pin them up as he adjusted the draping from below. As he handed me the other end to pin, I hastily took it and secured it in place. Before he could say anything, I hurriedly excused myself and left the room.

He followed me, and we came downstairs. I saw Anirudh there, sitting with his mom, who was feeding him. As he saw me, he ran towards me and hugged my legs, a smile erupting on my face. I took the napkin and cleaned his face before saying, "Hi, my prince charming."

"Hello," he said with a grin and hugged me. I went near Maa while Anirudh was in my arms, and she said, "Aao beta, breakfast karna hai."

( come child have breakfast )

"Maa, main pooja se pehle khaana nahi khaati hoon," I said with a smile.

( mom I don't eat food before prayer )

"Par beta, tumne kal subah ke baad se kuch nahi khaya hai," she said with concern.

( but you didn't have anything from yesterday morning )

"Maa, hum pooja ke baad kha lenge," I said with a smile.

( mom I will eat after the prayer )

"Shivnya, why didn't you eat food?" Abhimanyu asked in his authoritative tone.

Ignoring his words, I said, "Anii, let's go in the garden to play something." Anii looked at me surprisingly, and I smiled. I was about to head to the garden when Abhimanyu came in front and said in the same authoritative tone, "Shivnya, I am asking something?"

"Abhimanyu, aao breakfast karo," Maa said to him.

( abhimanyu come have breakfast )

"Maa, hum bhi baad mein khaayenge," he replied calmly.

( mom I will also eat later )

"Beta, tumne bhi kuch nahi khaya kal subah se," Maa said with concern, but Abhimanyu's reply was harsh, shocking to everyone.

( child you also haven't eaten from yesterday morning )

"Maa, humne kha diya na," he replied curtly. Radhika tried to ease the tension by changing the topic, but I noticed fear and disappointment in Anirudh's face because of Abhimanyu's behavior.

( mom I said it )

Anii came near me and tried to sit beside me. I helped him, and he said, "Princess, aap mujhse shaadi taroge?"

( princess will you marry me?? )

"Huh?" I was shocked to hear such words from a small child. But before I could respond, Abhimanyu quickly interjected, shouting, "She is married." I shot him a look, and he shrugged his shoulders.

Sighing, I said with a smile to Anii, "Hum aapse shaadi karenge, par uske liye aapko bada hona padega. Jab aap bade ho jaoge, tab hum aapse shaadi karenge."

( I will marry you, but for that you will have to grow up. When you grow up, I will marry you )

"Par..." Abhimanyu was about to object, but I silenced him with a look. Instead, I reassured Anii, "Unse darne ki zarurat bilkul nahi hai. Jab tak hum aapke saath hain, aapko kisi se bhi darne ki zarurat nahi hai." And I took him in my arms.

( you don't have to fear him when I am with you )

"Abhimanyu, jao aur jaakar kurta pahan kar aao. Humhe pooja ke liye jaana hai," Maa said, and Abhimanyu nodded before going into the room. Meanwhile, Anii and I continued playing, trying to forget the tension that had momentarily enveloped the room.

( Abhimanyu, go and wear your kurta. We have to go for puja )
