SHIVNYA'S POV
Ridhimaa aunty called me into the kitchen and asked, "Beta, aaj aapki pehli rasoi, aapko khana banana aata hai?" I know just some basic cooking but wasn't sure how to tell her that I don't know how to cook anything. Nervously, I nodded when she asked again, "Beta, aapko khana banana aata hai?" I nodded again
( beta it's your first time cooking in this house , do you know how to cook?? )
( beta you know how how to cook??? )
"Ohh, so aap kuch meetha bana lijiye jo bhi aapka mann kare. Aur agar kuch help chahiye hogi toh aap humein bata dijiyega," she said and left, leaving me confused. I went to my room to grab my phone and look up a recipe. Abhimanyu wasn't there, so I quickly opened YouTube and started watching a recipe with full concentration.
( ohh so you can cook something sweet, anything you want, and if you want any help please tell me )
"What are you doing, Shivnya?" Abhimanyu suddenly asked, scaring me.
"Aap kab aaye?" I asked.
( when you came???? )
"Abhi."
I stood up and said, "Toh aapko awaaz karke aana chahiye tha, main dar gayi thi."
( so you should make some noise when you come, I was scared )
"Shivnya, par..." he tried to explain, but I interrupted, "Aapko kuch kaam hai humse?"
( do you have any work from me )
"Nahi," he said. I ordered him to sit quietly so I could continue watching the recipe.

"Toh shant baithiye, humein kaam karne dijiye humara."
( soo sit quietly, let me do my work )
"Whi toh hum puch rahe hain, aap recipe kyun dekh rahi hain khane ki?" he asked, making me nervous again.
( that's why i am asking why are you looking for recipes )
Fidgeting with my fingers, I admitted, "Humein khana banana...nahi aata hai."
( i don't know how to cook)
He smiled and said casually, "Usme kya hua, aap maa ko bata deti, woh aapki madad kar deti"
( what happened in that you should have told this to mother , she would helped you )
When I didn't reply, he asked again, "Aapne maa ko bataya nahi?"
( you didn't told mom ?)
"Actually, kal woh jo shaadi..." I started to explain how difficult it was for me, but he interrupted, coming closer.
( actually the thing which happened in our wedding .... )
"Shivnya, kisi ko bhi bura nahi laga uss baat ka. Sab bhul gaye hain uss baat ko, yeh ab aapka bhi parivar hai," he tried to reassure me, but my mind wasn't at ease.
( shivnya no one has felt about that , and they have even forgotten about it, now this is your family too )
"Chaliye, hum madat karte hain aapke sath khana banane mein," he said, taking my hand and dragging me towards the kitchen. I asked in disbelief, "Aapko khana banana bhi aata hai?"
( come let me help you in making food )

"Humari maa ne hume full training di hai," he said with a laugh. He started to cook halwa, and I sat on the kitchen platform watching him.
( my mom have gave me full training )
"Soo, tell me what happened on bachelor's night," he asked.
"Nothing much," I said with a fake smile.
"Bataiye na, waise bhi I think key points toh Tanmay ne bata hi diye the," he said with a chuckle.
( tell na , and i think main points Tanmay have already told me )
"Actually," I scratched my neck, "You were drunk."
"Thank you, wifey, for that vital information," he said sarcastically.
"Ask your sister if you want to know that much," I said in annoyance.
"Fine, just tell me how we both ended up sleeping together, because that information, unfortunately, I wouldn't get from my sister," he said.
"You're really bad," I said in anger. Before I could say more, I heard, "Shivnya."
Quickly, I got off the platform and shifted Abhimanyu aside. His mother asked, "Tu yaha kya kar raha hai?"
( what are you doing here ? )
"Aise hi, maa," he said, moving towards her.
( just for fun , maa )
"Arre didi, shaadi ho gayi hai janab ki, ab toh ye Shivnya ke paas hi milega ye," Amrita aunty said with a chuckle. His mother came near me and asked, "Beta, halwa ban gaya?"
( sister now he is married , now he will be where Shivnya is )
( child is the halwa done? )
I looked at Abhimanyu, who gave me a thumbs up, so I nodded.
"Okay, aap aajao. Jaya (househelp) serves karke degi," she said. I turned off the gas, and all of us went outside.
( okay now lets go outside jaya will serve all the things )
ABHIMANYU'S POV
When I came out of the closet and saw Shivnya with the vermillion filled in her hairline, I felt a surge of possessiveness; it was as if the vermillion was declaring that she was solely mine. Her nude lipstick was so enticing that I wanted to kiss and suck it off her lips. She looked at me, and we both went downstairs.
She hid behind me, clearly nervous around my family. When she clutched my kurta, making me aware of her presence behind me, she looked like a scared, adorable baby. I couldn't help but chuckle at her cuteness. Her blushed face when I complimented her said everything; she loved the compliment. I left her momentarily due to a phone call, and when I returned to the room, I saw her watching recipes on how to cook food.
I asked her about it, and upon learning the situation, I helped her cook. I also tried to ask about the bachelor's night, but she didn't divulge much.
Mom called everyone to the dining area to taste the food. As everyone sat down and the house helper served the food, Shivnya stood beside me. Everyone tasted the food and praised her, but the ladies of the house kept smirking at me. Suddenly, Tanmay said, "Bhai, jab aap bante ho tab bhi aise hi taste aata hai," and Shivnya looked shocked.
( bhai when you cook it tastes the same )
"Tanmay, shut your mouth and eat," I said, causing everyone to laugh. Mom said, "Beta, humne kaha tha ki agar aapko madat chahiye thi toh aap humein batate," but Shivnya remained silent.
( child I told you if you needed any help so you could tell me )
Chachi then asked, "Beta, kuch hua hai kya? Aap jabse ghar aayi hain tabse ek shabd nahi kaha," to which Shivnya shook her head.
( beta what happened from the sec you entered the house you didn't spoke a single word )
Dadi asked, "Beta, yeh khana kisne banaya?" and she replied meekly, "Abhimanyu."
( who cooked this food??? )
Mom then asked, "Agar aapko khana banana nahi aata tha toh aapne humein bataya kyun nahi?" She still didn't say anything, so I took the opportunity to explain, "Actually, maa, inhe laga tha ki aap sab inse naraz hain kal ki baat se."
( If you didn’t know how to cook, then why didn’t you tell us? )
( Actually, mom, she thought that you all were upset with she because of what happened yesterday )
"Konsi baat?" Mom asked. I looked at Shivnya with a smile and said, "Dekha, biwi, humne kaha tha na sab bhool gaye hain."
( But which matter ? )

Dad then asked, "Par konsi baat, beta?"
"Aree, maa, wo shaadi ke beech mein jo hua tha," I said. Mom went near Shivnya and reassured her, "Beta, usme hum kyun naraz hote? Ye life aapki hai, aapko apni life ke decisions khud lene chahiye. Ab in sab baaton ko bhool jaiye. Hum aapka parivar hain aur yeh ek nayi shuruwat hai, ise happily shuru karo."
( Oh, mom, what happened in between the wedding..)
( Dear, why would we be upset about that? This is your life; you should make your own decisions. Now, forget all these things. We are your family, and this is a new beginning—start it happily )
Chachi then said, "Aree, ab main topic yeh hai ki halwa bohot tasty hai, ab yeh nayi bahu ne banaya ho ya naye pati ne," making everyone chuckle.
( Well, the main topic now is that the halwa is very tasty, whether the new bride made it or the new husband )
"Bilkul sahi kaha," Dadaji said.
( absolutely right )
"Shivnya beta, idhar aao," Dadi called. Shivnya looked at me, and I gave her a nod. Dadi opened a box and handed it to her, saying, "Yeh humara khandani necklace hai. Aaj se yeh aapka." Shivnya hesitated to take the necklace, but Dadaji said, "Beta, yeh aapka hi hai, aap rakhiye. Aaj se yeh aapka parivar hai, and you have to accept these gifts." She took the necklace and touched their feet for blessings.

( This is our family necklace. From today, it belongs to you

Chachi then gifted her some heavy gold earrings, and Chachu gave her gold bangles. She thanked them and took their blessings.
"Shivnya beta, idhar aao," Mom called, and Shivnya went near her.

"I am not going to give you any gifts," she said, shocking everyone. "I am going to give you a promise. I promise you whenever you need me, I will be there. From now on, you will not say that you are an orphan. You have your family. Whenever you get comfortable with us, you can come to us. As much as we are Abhimanyu and Avantika's mom and dad, we are equally yours." She said with motherly love, and Shivnya nodded. Dad caressed her head and gifted her a beautiful diamond necklace and a ring, and Shivnya took their blessings.
Tanmay and Yuvraj came near and said, "Sorry, Bhabhi, we didn't bring a gift for you, but we promise that we will never let you feel like you're missing your cousins. We will try our best to be like them for you."
"You don't have to do that. I like the way you guys are," Shivnya said with a smile.
Then, it was my turn to give her a gift. Everyone's attention shifted to me, and Shivnya also looked at me. "Abhimanyu, tu kya laya hai apni biwi ke liye?" Chachi asked.
( Abhimanyu what you have brought for your wife ? )
"It's a surprise, so it will take time," I said, but the truth was, I hadn't prepared a gift for her yet.
AUTHOR'S POV
Everyone dismissed themselves and went to their rooms. Abhimanyu and Shivnya were busy with their respective tasks. That night, they had dinner with the family, but Shivnya barely ate anything. After dinner, they went to their room, changed into simple clothes, and went to bed. Shivnya maintained a distance, not wanting to cling to Abhimanyu during the night.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘
Shivnya was in a deep slumber, having taken her sleeping pills. Her eyes slowly opened to the persistent blabbering of the alarm. She rubbed her eyes and yawned, feeling exhausted from the wedding and the heavy sarees. The door opened, and Abhimanyu entered the room, his black vest drenched in sweat, showcasing his bulky biceps and triceps. The veins in his hands were prominent, and he was holding a shaker. Shivnya couldn't help but stare at him. He came and sat on the bed near her and said, "Good morning, Mrs. Rathore."
She realized her name had changed now and felt a surge of happiness. Suppressing her smile, she replied, "Good morning, Mr. Rathore."
Noticing it was already 8 AM, she realized she was late. She quickly got up and tried to head to the bathroom

"Main pehle utha hoon, main jaunga pehle," he said, holding her wrist.
( I woke up first , so I am going )
"Abhimanyu, pehle humein jaane dijiye. Hum late hain aur humein saree bhi pehni nahi aati. Usme bhi time lagega," she said, trying to remove his hold.
( Abhimanyu, please let me go first. I'm late, and I don’t even know how to wear a saree. It will take time for me to get ready )
He came closer and said, "Biwi ji, uske liye hum hain. But abhi toh hum hi jaayenge."
( wifey, for that I am here , but for now I am going )
Annoyed, she said, "Nahi, pehle hum jaayenge."

Abhimanyu thought for a while and then said, "Humare paas ek idea hai jisse hum dono time se ready ho sakte hain."
( I have an idea from which we both can ready on time )
"Kya?" she asked innocently. Abhimanyu leaned close to her ear, his husky breath sending shivers down her spine, and whispered, "Why don't we take a shower together, biwi jaan?" He then let go of her hand. Shivnya was perplexed by his suggestion, and Abhimanyu smirked before quickly heading to the bathroom, locking the door behind him.
( what?? )
Realizing it was a trick, she shouted, "Abhimanyu!"
"Boliye, biwi jaan," he responded with a chuckle. Shivnya didn't reply, feeling too shy. While he was in the bathroom, she decided to work on her laptop.
( say wifey )
The door clicked open, and Abhimanyu emerged with a white towel hanging from his waist, rubbing his hair with another towel. Shivnya was captivated by the sight of her husband. He looked like a paragon of masculine perfection, evoking images of a Greek deity. His chiseled features and well-defined muscles, especially his prominent eight-pack abs and the v-line making her more allure and broad chest, left Shivnya in awe. She couldn't help but imagine how comfortable and inviting his chest would be as a pillow.
Her thoughts halted when Abhimanyu said with a smirk, "You can ogle me as much as you want; after all, I am your husband. But I think you were getting late a while ago."
She quickly closed her laptop and said, "I was not ogling you."
"Really?" he asked with a mischievous smile.
"Yes," she replied and went into the bathroom. After a while, she peeked out of the closet and, seeing no one in the room, came out in her shapewear and blouse. She was annoyed that despite trying so much, she couldn't drape the saree properly. She opened her phone and searched for how to wear a saree, watching and trying to follow the instructions.
Abhimanyu entered from the balcony and saw his wife struggling with the saree. He chuckled and said, "Yeh kaam humara hai. Aap karengi toh kaise hoga?" He came near her and tried to take the saree from her hand, but she slapped his hand away and pouted, "Hum kar lenge apna kaam."
( this is my work If you will do then how will it happen?? )
He smirked and said, "Maa apni bahu ko yaad kar rahi thi."
( by the way mom was remembering you )
Shivnya panicked, "Shit! I knew it. I'm late. It's all because of you."
He saw her panic face and chuckled, "Arre arre, humne kaha hai ki woh yaad kar rahi hai, bula thodi rahi hai."
( wait wait I was just saying she was remembering, I am not saying she is calling you )
Shivnya looked at him in annoyance. He smirked and said, "Laayiye, hum karte hain." She handed him the saree, and he draped it perfectly.
( give me i will do this )
SHIVNYA'S POV
We both came downstairs and saw everyone gathered at the dining table, waiting for us. His mother smiled and said, "Hum tum dono ko bulane hi waale thi. Aao, chalo, breakfast karo."
( I was going to call you guys only , come now have breakfast )
We went to our seats, and Abhimanyu pulled out my chair for me before sitting down himself. As we started having our breakfast, his mother said, "Beta, aaj aapko pagphere ke liye jana hai. Aap do ya teen din aaram se ruk kar aana."
( child today is your pagphera you can stay at your house for 2 ,3 days in ease )
Before I could respond, Abhimanyu interjected, "Whaat? Nahi, Shivnya half day mein aa jayegi." Everyone laughed at his reaction, and I gave him a look, feeling a bit embarrassed.
( what no she will be back by half day )
" Abhimanyu," his mother chuckled, "Waise beta, aapko Aarav lene aa raha hai ya hum Abhimanyu ko bheje?"
( child will Aarav come to take you or we Abhimanyu can go with you )
I felt a bit uneasy. After our wedding, I hadn't picked up any calls from my brother as I didn't want to get involved in their lives. But this opportunity seemed like a good time to tell them everything necessary. Before I could say anything, Abhimanyu spoke up, "Nahi maa, Aarav nahi aa raha hai. Hum hi jayenge."
( no mother Aarav is not coming i will go with her )
I was surprised at how he knew that, but I was pleased it was working out as I wanted. "Tumhe kaise pata?" his dad asked. Abhimanyu replied casually, "Aap Shivnya se hi puch lijiye."
( how do you know )

I said meekly, "Bhai nahi aa rahe hain. Hum Abhimanyu ke saath hi chale jayenge."
( bhai is not coming i will go with Abhimanyu only )
After that, we finished our breakfast and headed to Rajvanshi Mansion.
