CHAPTER 17

AUTHOR`S POV

" M ye shadi nahi karungi '' Shivnya shouted, standing up abruptly.

( I won't marry you  )

Everyone got shocked seeing her like and listening to her words. She rubbed her hand on her chest and took deep breaths. Her legs wobbled, and she was about to fall when Abhimanyu caught her. His strong arms encircled her, pulling her towards him. He slowly removed the veil from her face and saw the tears in her eyes and the horrified look on her face. Before anyone could say anything or Shivnya could repeat her words, Abhimanyu ordered in an authoritative tone, "I want to talk to my wife in private. Excuse us." Madhu was feeling feared that if shivnya would tell the truth of her her tricks wouldn't no last longer

"Par beta-" Ridhimaa tried to interject, but Abhimanyu cut her off sternly. "Maa, humne kaha na"

( but child...)
( maa I told you already )

Shivnya was not fully conscious. She kept murmuring that she wouldn't marry him, her mind fixated on that single thought. Abhimanyu lifted her in his arms in a bridal style and took her into a room. Shivnya continued to hit him and repeated that she wouldn't marry him.

Inside the room, Abhimanyu gently set Shivnya on the floor. She took a few steps backward, her body shivering, and then she collapsed beside the bed. Seeing her in this state, Abhimanyu recognized she was having a panic attack, similar to the one he had witnessed at Aarav's wedding.

He fetched a glass of water and knelt beside her, offering it. Shivnya knocked it away. Abhimanyu closed his eyes, trying to keep his patience. In a calm tone, he asked, "Shivnya, what happened? Has anyone said something?"

Shivnya pushed him away and stood up from there and started frantically searching the room. "Shivnya, at least look at me, please. Tell me what you are looking for," he pleaded, approaching her. She didn't respond and instead started throwing blankets, pillows, and even the night lamp in anger, searching for her medicines.

Abhimanyu grabbed her arms firmly and asked in a louder voice, "What do you need, Shivnya? Tell me!"

" My meds " she whispered without looking at him . Abhimanyu realized the similarity to her previous panic attack. He released her arms and looked around, but there were no medicines in the unfamiliar room. Shivnya continued to rub her hand on her chest, trying to remove her jewelry. Her mind was tormented by her past and the fear of ruining Abhimanyu's life.

"Where are your meds?" he asked softly.

"I don't know," she replied, still searching. Abhimanyu followed her, trying to console her. "It's okay, Shivnya. Tell me what happened. We'll fix it," he said, his voice filled with concern.

He turned her towards him, her eyes brimming with tears. " Then Don't marry me," she pleaded.

Abhimanyu was shocked but kept his temper in check. " Why? What happened all of a sudden?"

Shivnya moved to the bed, her eyes cast down, fidgeting with her fingers. "Just don't. I'm not right for you. Please understand."

Abhimanyu approached her, gripping her arms gently. "What are you saying? I will marry you and no one else."

Shivnya looked into his eyes, defeated. "You have to."

Abhimanyu's patience snapped. " I will not marry anyone else, SHIVNYA RAJVANSHI! I will marry you, whether it's your wish or not. You and I are meant for each other in every eternity."

Shivnya was terrified by his words. Seeing her reaction, Abhimanyu immediately regretted his outburst. He loosened his grip and lifted her chin. "Why do you want someone else to marry me? Do you hate me that much?" he asked, his heart heavy

Shivnya collapsed to her knees, overwhelmed by sorrow and fear that all the allegations wouldn't come true, her bad charm would not destroy him . "
" No... no... M..... manhoos hu...... I..... am a cursed Child . Everyone... Everyone dies because of me and......... I couldn't do anything to save them , I can't let anything happen to you... I can't lose you," she cried.

Abhimanyu was stunned. He kneeled down and embraced her tightly. Shivnya continued to cry and hit his chest, but he held her firmly yet gently.

He placed her in his lap, wiping her tears and dabbing her forehead with his handkerchief. But her uneven breath continued so he removed her nose jewelry and her neck pieces to help her breathe more easily. "Shh... bachhe... nothing will happen to you. You are my life, my everything , aap jaan hai humari . Nothing can hurt me as long as I have you . Shant ho jayie jaan sab thik hai aur rahega ," he whispered soothing in his honey dripped voice

His reassurances began to calm her , his words reassured her that this time the history wouldn't repeat , now she would also had someone on which she can also trust and can rely , he was continuously giving her reassurance and creasing the contour of her face made her feel calm and his hand brushed her forehead. She clung to him, her breaths gradually evening out, though her tears continued to fall. Her head rested on his chest, finding solace in the steady rhythm of his heartbeat but one more fear which was storming in her mind

"They will take my brothers and sisters away... they will tell them everything... they will hate me... I can't lose them..." she hiccuped, her voice laden with terror and helplessness.

Abhimanyu was puzzled about whom she was referring to but chose not to press her for details. He knew she wasn't in a state to explain. Instead, he continued to murmur soothing words, "Jaan, no one will take your brothers and sisters away. I am here with you. Don't worry, nothing bad will happen. Please don't take stress over it I am assuring you nothing will happen to either them or me or on you after this decision "

His words and tender gestures gradually calmed her. She leaned against him, her shivering subsiding, her breaths becoming more regular. Abhimanyu noticed her discomfort with the jewelry, so he carefully removed it piece by piece, easing her breathing. His actions, though simple, spoke volumes of his care and understanding.

As she settled into his lap, her head resting over his heart, she held onto him tightly, seeking the safety he offered. Her sobs quieted, her body relaxing against his.

"Shivnya, look at me," he said softly, tilting her chin up gently. Her eyes, still brimming with tears, met his. "No one can separate you from your loved ones. I am here with you. Trust me, jaan."

Her fingers tightened their grip on his shirt, her fear slowly giving way to a fragile hope. "I trust you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Then believe in me , Shivnya. Nothing bad will happen. You are my life, and I will always be here for you," he reassured her, his voice unwavering.

She took a deep breath, her head still resting on his chest, and for the first time, she felt a flicker of peace. His arms around her, his heartbeat beneath her ear, and his words of comfort were a lifeline she clung to. At that moment, she knew she wasn't alone. She had someone who truly cared, someone who wouldn't let her face her fears by herself.

Abhimanyu continued to hold her, his touch a steady reminder of his promise. As her breaths evened out and her tears dried, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. His presence, his unwavering support, began to mend the fractures in her heart.

For a while, they remained like that, two souls finding solace in each other's embrace. The storm within her began to settle, replaced by the warmth of his love and the certainty of his words. Abhimanyu's patience and tenderness had woven a cocoon of safety around her, and in that cocoon, she found the strength to face her fears.

Suddenly, a knock on the door shattered their moment. Concerned voices followed, heightening the tension.

"Abhimanyu, Shiviiii thik hai na? Abhimanyu?" Aarav's anxious voice pierced through.

(  abhimanyu , Shivnya is okay, right? Abhimanyu??  )

"Beta, sab thik hai na?" Ridhimaa asked, her worry palpable.

( child is everthing is okay??  )

"Beta, shaadi ka time nikla jaa raha hai, jaldi aaye," Madhu urged impatiently.

( child the wedding time is running out so come fast  )

Abhimanyu responded sternly, "Aap log jaaiye, hum aa rahe hain."

( you all ho we are coming  )

He turned to Shivnya, her breath now steadied but her grip on his sherwani remained unyielding. Her tears had soaked his clothing, but he cared little. Gently caressing her, he asked, his voice heavy with emotion, "Aap ab bhi humse shaadi nahi karengi?"

( you won't marry me now also??? )

She remained silent.

"Okay, agar aapko iska jawab nahi dena hai, toh theek hai. Hum abhi aate hain," he said, looking into her eyes. Shivnya responded quickly, her fingers fidgeting with the buttons of his sherwani as if to distract herself.

( Okay, if you don’t want to answer this, that’s fine. I’ll be back shortly  )

"Kaha jaa rahe hain aap?" she asked meekly, fear lacing her voice.

( where are you going?? )

"Shaadi ke liye mana karke aate hain, sab tension mein honge aapke liye," he said, trying to shift her focus from her distress.

( I will come back after refusing the marriage; everyone must will be worried about you )

"Nahi!" she exclaimed. Abhimanyu smirked internally, sensing her true feelings. He played along, acting innocent, "Shivnya, par aapne abhi kaha tha..."

( noo )

( shivnya but you just said...)

"Haan, theek hai, ab bhi hum hi keh rahe hain. Hum karenge aapse shaadi. Bas humein apni dawai leni hogi aur fir hum better feel karenge," she said, her annoyance mingled with desperation. Abhimanyu smiled, relieved to see her returning to normal.

( Yes, fine, I'm still saying it. I will marry you. I just need to take my medicine, and then I’ll feel better  )

"Okay," he said softly. But Shivnya's grip tightened; she wasn't ready to let go of the safe haven she found in his embrace. Taking a deep breath, she voiced her turmoil, "I am really sorry, aapko humari wajah se ye sab... Humne apne aap ko control kiya tha, but jab tak hum meds nahi lete hain, tab tak humein relief nahi milta."

( I am really sorry that you had to go through all this because of me... I tried to control myself, but until I take my meds, I don’t get any relief )

Her head rested on his chest, her hands playing with the buttons of his sherwani. Abhimanyu gently caressed her arms and said, "Humne kitni baar kaha hai, aap humari dharampatni hain, humari ardhangini hain. Aapko ye sab kehne ki zarurat nahi hai. Hum aapke pati hain, aapka pura haq hai hum par. Aap humse kuch bhi keh sakti hain."

( I've told you so many times, you are my lawful wife, my better half. You don’t need to say all this. I am your husband; you have every right over me. You can say anything to me  )

Finally, Shivnya looked up, her eyes meeting him for a fleeting moment before she lowered them again. "Hum bahar jaake kya kahenge?" she asked quietly.

( what will i say outside??)

"Aapko kisi ko bhi kuch kehne ki zarurat nahi hai. Aap Rajasthan ke raja ki rani hai. Aap humare alawa kisi ko koi explanation nahi dengi . Aur hum tab hi jab aapka maan hoga," he reassured her, brushing his hand through her hair. Shivnya looked up, disbelief mingled with hope-was this a dream? Someone truly cared for her, without demanding explanations.

( You don't need to say anything to anyone. You are the queen of the king of Rajasthan. Apart from me, you owe no one an explanation. And I will only speak when you wish me to )

The persistent knocking and voices outside pulled him back. "Shivnya, chale? Sab bula rahe hain," he said. She nodded slowly, reluctant to leave his lap but knowing it was inevitable. She rose with his help, adjusting her clothes with his assistance.

( shivnya let's go everyone is calling  )

Shivnya picked up the neckpiece, but Abhimanyu gently took it from her. "You don't have to wear this. Be comfortable in whatever you are wearing. These pieces of jewelry are not important to me. You are important, and so is your health. I will send Barley to help you with everything, including the meds," he said softly, showing his concern before leaving the room.

Outside, he gestured for Barley to enter. Ridhimaa noticed his wet sherwani and approached him, her concern evident. "Beta, kya hua? Tumhari argument ho gayi thi kya firse?"

(  what happened child, did you get in argument again??  )

"Nahi, Maa, aisa kuch nahi hai," Abhimanyu replied firmly.

( noo maa their is nothing like that  )

"Toh beta, wo shaadi karne se mana kyu kar rahi thi?" she persisted.

( so why is she denying to get married?? )

Abhimanyu's tone grew stern, silencing everyone except his mother. "Maa, wo hamara personal matter hai. Wo abhi aa rahi hai, aap tension mat lijiye."

( maa it's our personal matter she is coming, you don't have to stress about it  )

"Wo shaadi apne maan se kar rahi hai? Kisi Ne usse pressurize toh nahi kiya na?" she shouted, her worry turning into frustration. Ridhimaa gripped Abhimanyu's arms tightly, demanding answers. No one responded.

( she is marrying from har own will??? Nobody has Presurrized her??  )

She turned to Ranveer, her anger flaring. "Aapko pata tha ki wo zabardasti shaadi kar rahi hai?" Ranveer remained silent. Just as Ridhimaa was about to speak again, a voice interrupted.

( you knows she is getting married forcefully ??? )

"Nahi, aunty, hum apni marzi se shaadi kar rahe hain," Shivnya said, her face hidden by a veil to conceal the tear marks.

( no aunty I am getting married from my own will )

Ridhimaa approached her, her tone softening. "Pakka na, bache? Aapko kisi ki bhi baat mein aane ki zarurat nahi hai. Hum hain yahan aapke liye."

( are you sure child??? You don't have to obey anyone, if you don't want to , I am here for you  )

Shivnya nodded.

"Chaliye, shaadi ka time ho raha hai," Madhu said, her voice tinged with impatience as she anticipated handling the aftermath of the chaos.

( let's go it's time for the wedding  )

They all proceeded to the mandap. Abhimanyu held Shivnya's hand, a gesture that brought a wave of happiness over everyone. It was evident they were gradually finding comfort in each other's presence.

Pandit Ji resumed chanting the mantras, and after a while, he announced, "Kanya ke mata-pita ko bulaye, kanyadaan ka samay ho gaya hai." Everyone exchanged glances, uncertainty filling the air. Shivnya, with a heavy heart, broke the silence, "Hum anath hain."

( shall we call brides parents?  )

( I am orphan  )

All eyes turned toward the first floor of the mansion, where Yuvantika and Shaurya stood, watching their daughter's marriage unfold. Yuvantika wept at Shivnya's words, and Shaurya tried to console her.

"Kanya, koi toh hoga aapke parivar mein," Pandit Ji insisted, looking around at the gathered family. Shivnya, her hands trembling, tightened her grip on Abhimanyu's hand, which provided her the support she needed. With a mix of anger and sorrow, she repeated, "Humne kaha na, hum anath hain."Pandit ji got a little scared and viren stood there with a heavy heart he knew raghuveer always treated her like a daughter and always wanted to do the knayadaan of her but he wasn't present here

( daughter don't you have anyone in the family  )

( I said na I AM ORPHAN )

Pandit Ji, taken aback, asked again, "Kanya, aapke koi bhai-bhen toh honge?"

( daughter don't you have any siblings ? )

Aarav stepped forward towards the mandap. Shivnya's hands began to shake more violently, and she glanced at Madhu, who gave her a reassuring smile. "Aarav, jao beta, apni bhen ka kanyadaan karo," Madhu instructed.

( aarav go and perform your sister's kanyadan )

Aarav and Avni approached her. Shivnya then called out, "Divi, Sanj, Aayu, you also come ." The children came excitedly, surrounding their sister and performing the kanyadaan together.

After the kanyadaan, Pandit Ji asked Avni to tie the knot between Shivnya's pallau and Abhimanyu's cloth. He then instructed them to stand up for the pheras. Abhimanyu helped Shivnya rise, and they began circling the sacred fire. For the first three rounds, Shivnya led, and for the remaining rounds, Abhimanyu took the lead.

As they walked around the fire, Abhimanyu made his vows:

"I promise I will always protect you, mentally and physically, and be your strength."

"I promise you will be my language to speak , and I will trust you more than anyone."

"I promise to be devoted to you; you are my only deity, and I will worship you."

"I promise to share all my material possessions with you; you own my life, my time, my everything."

"I promise to share all my joys and sorrows with you and always support you in your sorrows."

"I promise to take every step of our life together and never leave you midway; I will always be behind you, supporting you."

"I promise to stand by you in front of everyone, fulfill your wishes, and always respect your opinions."

Shivnya was astonished by the sincerity and depth of Abhimanyu's promises. Although she didn't voice any promises, their family smiled, moved by Abhimanyu's heartfelt words and the evident change in him since Shivnya entered his life.

The pheras concluded, and it was time for the mangalsutra and sindoor. Abhimanyu held the mangalsutra, which featured a tiny infinity symbol, customized just for her. As he tied it around her neck, his lips brushed against her nose, causing Shivnya to close her eyes and shiver slightly, sensing his nearness. She calmed herself immediately.

Pandit Ji then instructed him to apply the vermillion in her hairline. Sanj gently lifted Shivnya's veil, revealing her face, now free from visible tear marks. Abhimanyu unsheathed his sword, nicking his thumb until blood oozed out. Making eye contact with Shivnya, he asked, "Laga doon?"

( should I??  )

She nodded, looking at his blood. He asked again softly, "Soch lijiye, har janam ke liye aap humari ho jayegi aur hum aapke. Iske baad kuch change nahi hoga." Shivnya gave a small smile, blinking her eyes in affirmation, and leaned forward. Abhimanyu filled her hairline with his blood, and Shivnya closed her eyes as he did so.

( Think about it, for every lifetime, you will become mine, and I will become yours. After this, nothing will change )

Everyone showered the couple with rose petals as Pandit Ji announced, "Vivah sampann hua. Aaj se lekar 7 janamon tak aap ek dusre ke hue." Applause erupted, and more rose petals were showered upon them, marking the joyous union.

( The wedding is complete. From today onwards, you belong to each other for seven lifetimes )
